Dr. Licínia Simão is a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies and assistant professor in international relations at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Previously, she served as a research and teaching fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies, Brussels (2007), the OSCE Academy, Bishkek (2010) and Carleton University, Ottawa (2012). Her research interests include security studies and foreign policy analysis, especially European foreign policy and security dynamics in the post-Soviet space, with a focus on the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
