Leyla Sayfutdinova

Leyla Sayfutdinova is PhD Student in Sociology at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. In 2001, she graduated from the Department of Law of Baku State University. In the same year, she entered the Conflict Studies Programme at the Department of Philosophy of St. Petersburg State University, which she completed with honors in 2004. Her research interests include ethnicity, ethnic conflict, nation building and nationalism. She has been involved in conflict resolution projects of the Institute of Peace and Democracy (Baku, Azerbaijan), and in the Children’s Tolerance education Programme by Save the Children (Azerbaijan).
