Dr. Anar Valiyev is Associate Professor at ADA University. He received his Bachelor's degree in History from Baku State University (1999) and Master's degree in History (2001) from the same university. From 2001 to 2003, he studied public policy at School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University in Bloomington, where he received his second master. In 2007 he successfully defended his dissertation at School of Urban and Public Affairs from University of Louisville, KY. From 2007 to 2008, he was working as assistant professor at Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. Dr. Valiyev's areas of expertise include public policy of post-Soviet republics; democracy and governance; urban development and planning.
